There is always something right on the fringe of my consciousness that only writing can bring to full awareness. Something powerful happens when I write my innermost thoughts and feelings. It takes me somewhere that thinking or feeling alone just doesn’t. Writing brings clarity to my otherwise clouded inner world.

There are things happening all around me that are greater than my cerebral cortex, it’s attempts at categorization and the ideas it creates.

I have come to believe that much of human creativity begins as a desire to heal trauma of a personal or familial origin. It is a calling upon or drawing forth from the creative power of the universe for the sole purpose of healing.
