If we spent an eighth of as much time working on the inside as we do on our outer appearance, the world would be a much safer and more peaceful place. Unfortunately, the only time we typically give attention to inner emotional or spiritual issues are when we are in a crisis. When we are forced through some trauma or major necessity, to really look at ourselves, we somehow find the time and resources. However, most of the time, we check the mirror as an indicator of how we are doing. What will it take for humanity to take the emotional and spiritual aspects of ourselves as seriously as we do our outer appearance?
