I alone bear witness to my inner world as it truly is. Whatever I express loses something in the translation from inner thought or feeling to outer communication.

Even if I could express my inner experience exactly as it is, when it falls upon the ears or eyes of another, it undergoes yet another transformation. It passes through the perceptive mental apparatus of the receiver of that message.

This seems to be the hardest and most important skill to have. To not only find a way to express your inner world accurately, but also to develop relationships with others that truly listen and are receptive to that honest experience.
