The thoughts that whisper to me
That I’m no good

This is how you are useless
You are just not like them
You don’t do enough

I am good enough
I have something to offer
Right now
Teetering between
Confidence
And insecurity
I will tip my scales
Towards confidence
I can be kind to
And love myself
I can change my thoughts
To be in my corner
On my side
This is my battle
This is my struggle
And every day
I fight this fight
Stop fighting with yourself and believe in yourself
You are right. Sounds so simple. It’s just that more often than not I’m battling with myself. I hope to overcome this through the process of writing. One of the main reasons I do write is to become more aware of my patterns so I can choose how to move forward.
